Leaked: New details hint at large-screen Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in the making
The fifth-generation Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (which will be the first-ever Galaxy S phablet) will sport a large 5.7-inch super AMOLED displays that offer a 2560 X 1440 resolution.

New Delhi: New leaks about Samsung’s anticipated Galaxy Note and a new variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge have surfaced online and detail the features the next flagship phablets from the South Korean electronics manufacturers could have locked in them.

The fifth-generation Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (which will be the first-ever Galaxy S phablet) will sport large 5.7-inch super AMOLED displays that offer a 2560 X 1440 resolution.

Revelations made by SamMobile hint at the next flagship Galaxy Note 5 (internally codenamed ‘Project Noble’ to have a flat display while the S6 Edge Plus (codenamed ‘Project Zen’) will retain the spill-effect, dual curved edges as introduced by Samsung in the parent model.

As both the anticipated devices are said to include glass rears, they are unlikely to include removable batteries or microSD slots. Therefore, we can expect them to come in variants based on storage options similar to the current Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge duo released earlier this year.

The Galaxy Note 5 will pack in it a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7422 processor and Shannon LTE modem. The company was said to be testing the Exynos 7430 processor with 4K displays, however, for the upcoming devices, it is sticking to the lower 2K displays.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will feature a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and come with 32GB of internal storage. Earlier leaks indicated that the new variant of the S6 Edge has been codenamed 'Project Zero 2'. However, rest of the latest specifications are in line with the previous revelations.

The dual-side curved screen phone will run the Android Lollipop and offer a 16 megapixel camera with 4K recording option combined with a 5 megapixel front snapper. It is said to pack in it a powerful 3000mAh battery.

Similar to the recently released LG G4, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is expected to offer the option of saving images in RAW format for better post-production editing.
