Fortnite Brings Back 14 Days Event For 7 Days: Everything You Need to Know
The year-end event 14 Days of Fortnite is coming back for the new year so that "Fortnite" fans and players can complete temporary challenges after a mix-up over running time.

After a dash of community confusion over the January 2 end date for 2018/19's 14 Days of Fortnite, Epic Games has decided to bring the two-week event back, if only for 7 days rather than the full two-week run. More precisely, the event starts "early [this] week" and ends January 15 at 3 AM ET (0800 UTC.)

A post to the game's Reddit board, written by one of the "Fortnite" designers, had led a portion of its community to believe they had until January 3 or 4 to complete event-specific challenges and obtain a special glider in return.

Epic had initially given away an Equalizer Glider to make good over the misunderstanding but in a January 4 blog post announced that the entire event, along with "some of the most popular Limited Time Modes" that had been available during its initial run, would make a return instead.

"Players who were unable to complete those Challenges will be able to earn all of the rewards they may have initially missed out on," the post read. "All Challenges will be available to complete for the entire duration of the event."

The downside is that partial progress won't be restored.
