Premium audio maker Bose on January 12 took the wraps off its home entertainment systems - the SoundTouch 300, Lifestyle 650 and Lifestyle 600 in India.
Bose has debuted the smallest satellite speakers, called OmniJewel satellite speakers that promise to deliver 360 degree sound, alongside the Lifestyle 650 and Lifestyle 600. The Bose LifeStyle 650 is a 5.1-channel system with four OmniJewel satellite speakers, including high-excursion transducers for dramatic production of sound.
A bass module for omni-directional sound and a centre channel are included that are made of brushed and anodised aluminium that exudes elegance. The console is curved and has been accented with impact-resistant polished glass, which improves signal reception. "The glass can handle a fall from four feet," said a presenter from Bose India. The console is curved and gives an impression that it is floating above a surface.
Both the home entertainment systems apply QuietPort technology for a deep base, ADAPTiQ for crisp acoustics and 4K pass through with six HDMI ports. The Lifestyle 650 and the Lifestyle 600 are currently retailing in India for Rs 3,99,999 and Rs 2,99,999 respectively.
Optional bass module - the Acoustimass 300 bass module - a wonderful bass driver that also uses built-in QuietPort technology can be purchased separately for Rs 69,999.
In terms of connectivity, the Lifestyle 650 has WiFi, Bluetooth enabled with near-field communication (NFC) and is also compatible with SoundTouch systems.
The Bose SoundTouch 300 is a slim soundbar measuring 97.8cmx10.8cmx5.7cm and offers rich sound. It is WiFi and Bluetooth enabled with NFC for an easy pairing that will make streaming music from services like Spotify and Pandora easy.
The SoundTouch 300 looks premium and is made of a perforated metal wraparound grille and on top sits the gorgeous impact resistant glass.
The SoundTouch 300 has PhaseGuide, which is a specialised tube that delivers fine sound, offers better room calibration, and crisp directional audio.
The Bose SoundTouch 300 promises to deliver a virtual 5.1 sound experience and can be purchased for Rs 69,000.
