Apple Vision Pro May Have 16GB Of RAM To Power Intense Workflows: Report
While Apple has not revealed it, a new report suggests that the Vision Pro headset could ship with 16GB of RAM and a maximum of 1TB storage when it launches on February 2.

Apple Vision Pro is arguably the most anticipated device from the company in almost a decade. It comes with a slew of new features, such as the ability to play back Spatial Videos recorded on iPhone 15 Pro models, as well as 3D movies and games. The device is shaping up to be an entertainment powerhouse that you can take with you anywhere. Moreover, it proves valuable for professional-grade work, like creating 3D content.

The Apple Vision Pro comes with the Apple M2 chipset to power all its intense use cases. As usual, the iPhone maker didn’t reveal the rest of the specs, including the RAM. But MacRumors is now reporting that the Vision Pro headset could ship with 16GB RAM and a maximum of 1TB storage when it launches on February 2.

MacRumors notes that this information was found in the latest Xcode 15.2 version and corroborates with Mark Gurman’s report from June 2023, where he said that the Vision Pro mixed reality headset would feature 16GB RAM, matching the amount of RAM present in development kits sent by Apple last year.

According to Apple, the Vision Pro will have 256GB of storage and will cost $3,499 in the US. The availability of the 1TB variant is still up in the air, and we won’t know for sure until the device goes on pre-order on January 19. The Vision Pro will only be available in the US at first, but it will eventually be released in other countries.
