New Delhi: Even as the two smartphone makers are the leaders in the market, Apple and Samsung have faced a dip in their market share.
According to the latest data by comScore, both the tech companies witnessed a dip in their market share in the three months to February.
Apple's market share was recorded at 41.7 per cent, slightly lower than 41.8 per cent in the previous quarter, Investors.com reports.
Meanwhile, Samsung's share was recorded at 28.6 per cent, slumping down by 1.1 per cent. However, the South Korean manufacturer's latest smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are receiving rave reviews and are expected to help the company revive its share in the market.
At still a distant third place, LG was recorded to possess a market share of 8.3 per cent, up than the previous 7.6 per cent. Others like Motorola recorded 5.1 per cent and HTC at 0.1 percent share.
In terms of the OS platform share, Google's Android saw an increase of 0.2 point to 52.8 per cent, which Apple's OS dipped to 41.7 per cent from 41.8 per cent. Microsoft's Windows OS recorded a 0.1 per cent increase at 3.5 per cent while BlackBerry OS fell by 0.2 points to 1.8 per cent.
