On the occasion of World Health Day today, Amazon.in revealed that their healthcare devices category is observing a huge demand. According to Amazon.in younger generation is taking health & fitness seriously and have played an active role by educating elders about the need for healthcare devices especially by gifting them to their parents.
Amazon.in’s Healthcare devices category has seen demand from across the country and has grown over 150 percent year on year. Most of the demand is driven by tier 1 metropolitan cities as the urban lifestyle is leading to a lot of health issues like hypertension and diabetes. Customers in India are looking at Health from all aspects beyond nutrition & hygiene. They are increasingly adopting fitness regimes either by working out in gyms or taking up various sports. Treadmills & Exercise wheels have also seen a very healthy growth in gym equipment.
