New Delhi: Delhi-based Sun Airvoice has announced its plans to enter the Indian smartphone market with a range of affordable phones under the brand name Ziox.

"The company will launch mobile phones under two categories - feature phones and smartphones, and all the phones will be priced under Rs 7,000," says a company's spokesperson.

Talking about the availability details, he says the phones will be launched sometime either in the last week of April or the first week of May.

"In line with the government's Make in India campaign, we plan to set up a manufacturing plant in India to make mobile handsets shortly. This will enable us to meet our customers' rapidly changing preferences and demands," says Vikas Jain, managing director, Sun Airvoice.

The company will initially launch phones in a few Indian states and will subsequently make its way to other parts of the country.

It also aims to take its Ziox phones to international markets.
