Actress turned-politician Roja Selvamani, known for her prominent political career, recently made headlines for a noble cause on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s 51st birthday. Dressed as Santa Claus, Roja visited the Bombay Colony area, where she presented gifts to the family of a polio-stricken shoemaker. In a heartwarming gesture, she also cut a Christmas cake with the children from the family. Roja, accompanied by members of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party, took a procession on a scooter in Vijayawada. Additionally, she contributed Rs 2 Lakh for the medical expenses of the shoemaker’s wife. The video of the event has garnered attention on social media, earning admiration for Roja’s compassion.

While Roja has transitioned from acting in films and judging the Telugu comedy show Jabardasth, she continues to focus on her political career. In an interview, she emphasised that her sole dedication now lies in politics.

Despite Roja’s exit from the film industry, speculation arose about her daughter Anshumalika’s debut in Telugu cinema. Rumours circulated that Anshumalika would act opposite actor Dhruv Vikram. However, her father, RK Selvamani, dismissed these rumours, stating that decisions about her acting career would be made if she chose to return.

Anshumalika, who shares her mother’s striking beauty, has gained recognition as a web developer, content creator, and author. She enrolled at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in Indiana, US, and shared glimpses of her university life on Instagram.

Anshumalika’s multifaceted talents and commitment to social causes highlight her diverse contributions beyond the realms of cinema and coding.
