He is now eagerly anticipating the release of his much-awaited film titled Kanguva, directed by Siva. Suriya has now wrapped the shooting of the film and tweeted about this update on January 10. Kanguva boasts a stellar star cast starring Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, and others. Studio Green and UV Creations have produced this film.
Kanguva’s director Siva revealed some information related to the title of the film to The New Indian Express. He said that the film is set 1500 years ago. As per Siva, the film uses elements from ancient Tamil, as well as other cultures, from all over India. He said that the Kanguva is a fictional story set in an imaginary world with strong historical references and facts. Siva shares that Kanguva’s work has been underway for over three years. As per Siva, he is elated to have Suriya headlining his dream project. Siva expressed gratitude to Suriya and said that the actor had given his everything for this project. He also thanked producer Gnanavel Raja for helping in bringing Kanguva to the screens.
Suriya was last appreciated for his cameo role in the film Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Even though Suriya had less screen time, his role was much appreciated by the audience. Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, and others also acted in this movie. Raajkamal Films International produced this film released on June 3, 2022.
