Fight Club Box Office Collection: The Tamil Action-Drama Mints Rs 5 Crore In First Week

The recently released Tamil film Fight Club has garnered mixed reviews but is reportedly performing well at the box office, surpassing expectations. The film, which faced no direct competition upon its release, is said to be profiting from its current dominance at the box office.

Fight Club hit theatres on December 15, 2023, and although it received a varied response from the audience, reports suggest that its performance is satisfactory. Before its official release, the film’s OTT and television rights were sold for Rs 5 crore.

In its debut week, Fight Club reportedly earned Rs 5.5 crore in Tamil Nadu alone, with a global collection of Rs 5.75 crore over its opening weekend, as per the production house. Expressing gratitude to fans, the production house tweeted, ” #FightClub has grossed over 5.75 CRORES worldwide on the opening weekend!! Thanks to the wonderful fans and audience for making it a special one for us!”

According to reports, the producers have exceeded their earnings from OTT and television rights, indicating a successful theatrical run for the film.

Fight Club marks the directorial debut of Abbas A. Rahmath and features a cast including Vijay Kumar, Monisha Mohan Menen, Karthikeyan Santhanam, Avinash Raghudevan, Shankar Thas, and Saravana Vel. The film is produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Aditya under the banners of Reel Good Films and G Squad, representing Lokesh Kanagaraj’s first venture as a producer. The music for the film is composed by Govindha Vasantha. The distribution rights have been acquired by Disney+ Hotstar, and the film will be telecast on the Star Vijay television channel.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s previous directorial venture was Leo, featuring Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, and others. Released on October 19, 2023, Leo emerged as the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
