We Were Divided, Hence Had To Wait For 500 Years For Ram Temple: Yogi Adityanath
While addressing a gathering at an event in Mirzapur, the Chief Minister questioned that why Ayodhya had to wait for five centuries for Ram Janmabhoomi Temple?

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that the Ayodhya Ram Temple was demolished by the invaders 500 years ago because the Hindu community people were divided.

While addressing a gathering at an event in Mirzapur, the Chief Minister questioned that why Ayodhya had to wait for five centuries for Ram Janmabhoomi Temple? He said that invaders demolished the temple and erected a structure of slavery. He also called on the Hindu community people to stay united in future.

“Remember, Ayodhya Dham is also shining. The wait of over 500 years has come to an end… Why did we have to wait for 500 years in Ayodhya? Why did such a situation arise? Invaders demolished the grand temple of Lord Ram and erected a structure of slavery. There is only one solution, and the reason is the same: we were divided, and as a result, we suffered” he said.

Samajwadi Party Reacts

Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Anurag Bhadouria, responding to the statements, said that such remarks depict that the Chief Minister do not have faith in judiciary.

“India is governed by the constitution. With such statements, what message Yogi wants to give….does he not have faith in judiciary?” he said.

Bhadouria further said that Yogi is aware that he can’t ask for votes in the name of development, hence he is giving such statements.

Yogi Adityanath In Mirzapur

The Chief minsiter laid the foundation stone of 127 developmental projects worth Rs 765 crore in the city. While highlighting the Jal Jeevan Mission, Yogi said that people will be not only be getting fresh water, but also there are efforts to eliminate the water-borne diseases, trying to set a new standard for the schemes.

He further took a dig at the previous Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party government claiming that there was discrimination in who would get the benefits of certain schemes. He said that such a thing has changed under the current government and all schemes have benefitted the poor, farmers, and women the most.

“10 years ago, Mirzapur district was untouched by connectivity, the poor did not get the benefits, what was the condition of the holy Shaktipeeth and roads, goons and mafia rule was prevalent, this is not hidden from anyone,” he said.”In 7 and a half years, you have seen Mirzapur changing, today the holy place of Vindhyavasini is being built in a grand and divine form, earlier during Navratri, there was fear in the narrow streets, but now during Navratri you will have easy darshan, could this not have been done earlier,” he added.
