Patna: Former Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Vijay Krishna has been awarded life imprisonment by a Patna court for the murder of Janata Dal United leader Satyendra Singh in 2009.
Vijay Krishna, who is also a former Bihar minister, his son Chanakya Singh and two others were convicted in the Satyendra Singh murder case by the court of Additional District Judge Nand Kumar Shrivastava on December 2. He was in JDU at that time of the crime.
Krishna, Chanakya Singh, Gagan and Umesh Singh had killed Satyendra Singh in Patna in 2009. Chanakya Singh is already lodged in the jail in the case.
He has defeated Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the Lok Sabha election from erstwhile Barh constituency in 2004 Lok Sabha elections.
He is currently a RJD General Secretary.
