New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Friday sent a recommendation to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to revoke President's Rule in Delhi. The recommendation was sent to the President after the Aam Aadmi Party won the recent assembly elections in Delhi with a massive majority of 67 seats in the 70-member assembly.
The Delhi Assembly was placed under suspended animation and brought under President's Rule in February 2014 after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal quit as Chief Minister within just 49 days of coming in power.
Since then, no party had staked claim to form the government with all parties clamouring for fresh elections.
