New Delhi: Narendra Modi's Cabinet is likely to have more members from some key states. Uttar Pradesh, which delivered him 73 out of 80 seats, is likely to get 8-9 Cabinet berths. Madhya Pradesh is likely to get five berths. Karnataka is likely to get four berths, including M Venkaiah Naidu who is Rajya Sabha member from the state. Maharashtra is likely to get five berths.

Modi is likely to include MPs from the Northeast and other smaller states too. Kerala and West Bengal are likely to go unrepresented in the Cabinet.

More than half of the ministers are from Hindi-speaking states. South India is likely to get six berths and the Western India is likely to get 10 berths, Central India 6, East and North Eastern India are likely to get six berths and the remaining 16 or 17 berths are likely to go to North.

Rajasthan, which delivered 25 MPs out of 25 has got just a single berth for its Lok Sabha members. Nihal Chand will be sworn-in as the Minister of State in the Cabinet.

Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand has not got any berth for their elected Lok Sabha members. The BJP has won all 4 and all 5 Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Telangana, which is going to be India's 29th state on June 1 has not also got any berths. West Bengal, which has sent two BJP MPs is also going to be unrepresented.

Surprisingly, Neiphiu Rio who quit as Nagaland chief minister to become a Central minister has not been included.

Among the total 45 ministers, Nirmala Seetharaman, Radha Mohan and Prakash Javadekar are not the members of Parliament. Javadekar's term expired last year.
