29. South Tuipui is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Mizoram and is part of Mizoram Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. South Tuipui falls in Lunglei district and South region of Mizoram. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 14,660 voters in the seat, which includes 7,248 male voters, and 7,412 female voters. In the 2018 Mizoram elections, South Tuipui recorded a voter turnout of 82.9%. In 2013 the turnout was 84.62%, and in 2008 it was 83.1%.
In 2013, John Siamkunga of INC won the seat by a margin of 1,568 votes (13.55%). John Siamkunga secured 42.44% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 96 votes (0.9%), registering 35.45% of the total votes polled.
