181. Shahpura is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Bhilwara Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Shahpura falls in Bhilwara district and South region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,34,597 voters in the seat, which includes 1,18,799 male voters, and 1,15,798 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Shahpura recorded a voter turnout of 71.77%. In 2013 the turnout was 75.14%, and in 2008 it was 65.5%.
In 2013, Kailash Chandra Meghwal of BJP won the seat by a margin of 43,666 votes (28.23%). Kailash Chandra Meghwal secured 60.75% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 6,378 votes (5.52%), registering 46.09% of the total votes polled.
