'Political Exploitation Of Women': Posters In Bengaluru Target Siddaramaiah, Shivakumar Amid Prajwal Scandal
These posters appears to be in response to recent revelations concerning Prajwal Revanna, whose alleged video clips purportedly depicting instances of sexual abuse and exploitation have come to light

Posters targeting Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar have surfaced across Bengaluru street on Tuesday.

These posters, installed overnight by unidentified individuals, appears to be in response to recent revelations concerning JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, whose alleged video clips purportedly depicting instances of sexual abuse and exploitation have come to light.

Additionally, the posters prominently showcase images of the Congress leaders, with one specifically featuring Shivakumar. Text on the poster alleges that he has “exploited images of women for political purposes.”

BJP leader blames Karnataka Congress govt

On Monday, Hassan BJP leader Devaraje Gowda accused the Karnataka Congress government, led by Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar, of being involved in the distribution of pen drives containing explicit contents purportedly related to Prajwal Revanna.

Gowda further demanded that the case — currently being probe by Karnataka Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) — be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The BJP leader, who is also a lawyer, alleged that Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar approached him with deals and attempted to persuade him. He claimed that their agenda is to bring PM Modi’s name in the case.

“When I didn’t accept their deals, the CM called SIT officials to meet. Their agenda is to bring PM Modi’s name in this case as JDS and BJP have an alliance in the state. Deputy CM DK Shivakumar also sent me many offers to not release any names from the Congress Govt through LR Shivrame Gowda. I welcome if the Govt, DK Shivakumar and CM file a defamation case against me. I’ll answer in court,” Gowda told the media at a press briefing in Bengaluru.

Karnataka CM slams Gowda’s allegations

Following Gowda’s allegations, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah clarified that the state government is not intervening in the SIT probe.

He further asserted that accusations made by Gowda are misleading, adding: “We will not spare any culprits, even if they are influential. Efficient officers have been picked for the SIT.”

On the allegation that Prajwal’s case is damaging PM Modi’s image, Siddaramaiah remarked: “BJP should have thought about it before forming the alliance with the JD(S)”.
