127. Parasia is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Chhindwara Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Parasia falls in Chhindwara district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,02,621 voters in the seat, which includes 1,03,416 male voters, and 99,203 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Parasia recorded a voter turnout of 80.92%. In 2013 the turnout was 81.16%, and in 2008 it was 75.21%.
In 2013, Sohanlal Valmik of INC won the seat by a margin of 6,862 votes (4.48%). Sohanlal Valmik secured 47.15% of the total votes polled.
