Even before the Swachh Bharat campaign completes a year, head of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious project Vijayalakshmi Joshi has taken a voluntary retirement and has quit from her post.
The Gujarat cadre IAS officer has not given a reason for opting for voluntary retirement. She was secretary at the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.
