38. Lawngtlai East is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Mizoram and is part of Mizoram Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Lawngtlai East falls in Lawngtlai district and South region of Mizoram. It is categorised as a rural seat.

In 2013, H Zothangliana of INC won the seat by a margin of 273 votes (1.62%). H Zothangliana secured 48.65% of the total votes polled.
