Bangalore: The much-awaited expansion of DV Sadananda Gowda's Cabinet has been postponed yet again. The CM on Sunday confirmed that the expansion of his Cabinet will not take place till the Assembly elections to five states are over.
"I need to discuss the issue with the party high-command. But I am unable to do so as they are busy with the elections to five states. Once they are free, I will discuss it and take a final call," the CM told reporters here.
Gowda was keen on expanding his five-month old Cabinet soon after Sankranthi. But the party high command, which was unwilling to invite any fresh trouble, decided against it.
Gowda, who is heaving a sigh of relief following RSS leaders reigning in his predecessor BS Yeddyurappa (who was desperate to come back to power) from creating anymore trouble, also said that he would focus more on administration leaving all other issues to the party bosses to solve.
"I will change my style of functioning after Sankranthi," he added.
On the opposition's criticism, Gowda said, "I will not react to any criticism from the opposition. I am here to work and will continue my work." He also said he was open to any "good suggestions" from the opposition in administrative matters.
