26. Karimnagar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Telangana and is part of Karimnagar Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Karimnagar falls in Karimnagar district and North Telangana region of Telangana. It is categorised as a urban seat.
There are a total of 2,13,350 voters in the seat, which includes 1,08,224 male voters, and 1,05,103 female voters. In the 2018 Telangana elections, Karimnagar recorded a voter turnout of 68.18%. In 2014 the turnout was 58.49%.
In 2014, Gangula Kamalakar of TRS won the seat by a margin of 24,754 (13.12%). Gangula Kamalakar secured 40.92% of the total votes polled.
