37. Jaijaipur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Jangir-Champa (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Jaijaipur falls in Janjgir-Champa district and Central region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,28,637 voters in the seat, which includes 1,16,913 male voters, and 1,11,715 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Jaijaipur recorded a voter turnout of 68.17%. In 2013 the turnout was 70.91%, and in 2008 it was 64.01%.
In 2013, Keshav Chandra of BSP won the seat by a margin of 2,579 votes (1.79%). Keshav Chandra secured 32.75% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 9,439 votes (8.09%), registering 37.15% of the total votes polled.
