Bhopal: Congress President Sonia Gandhi attacked the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government in Madhya Pradesh over the law and order situation in the state saying that the BJP government has failed to provide adequate security to women during its tenure.
"There is only one list in which Madhya Pradesh is number one, the list which shows the highest cases of crimes against women," said the Congress chief while attacking the BJP government in the state.
The Congress president has been campaigning in the BJP-ruled states to garner votes for Congress for upcoming general elections 2014.
Simultaneously, BJP PM nominee Narendra Modi has put up a continued fight against Congress with his back-to-back rallies in Chhattisgarh.
Last month, Sonia Gandhi had addressed rallies with senior party leaders like Manmohan Singh in Chattisgarh. She had also addressed rallies in UP.
