215. Ghatiya is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Ujjain (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Ghatiya falls in Ujjain district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,04,796 voters in the seat, which includes 1,05,189 male voters, and 99,602 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Ghatiya recorded a voter turnout of 80.34%. In 2013 the turnout was 76.96%, and in 2008 it was 72.6%.
In 2013, Satish Malviya of BJP won the seat by a margin of 17,369 votes (12.39%). Satish Malviya secured 52.83% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 2,111 votes (1.93%), registering 41.43% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Ghatiya Assembly segment of the Ujjain (SC) Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
