Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has scripted history and is set to form government for the first time in Assam routing the Congress while Mamata Banerjee?s Trinamool Congress is returning to power with an even bigger mandate than it managed in the 2011 elections.
Tamil Nadu is also set to give a historic verdict with J Jayalalithaa-powered AIADMK retaining power defying most of the exit polls.
