63. Durg-Rural is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Durg Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Durg-Rural falls in Durg district and Central region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.
There are a total of 1,98,954 voters in the seat, which includes 1,00,261 male voters, and 98,670 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Durg-Rural recorded a voter turnout of 74.15%. In 2013 the turnout was 72.98%, and in 2008 it was 69.75%.
In 2013, Smt Ramshila Sahu of BJP won the seat by a margin of 2,979 votes (2.28%). Smt Ramshila Sahu secured 38.44% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 1,557 votes (1.39%), registering 44.4% of the total votes polled.
