Disha Patani Bags Lead Role in Suriya 42: 'Excited To Bring My Never-seen-before Avatar to Audience'

Recently, South heartthrob Suriya announced his maiden collaboration with filmmaker Siva, which is temporarily titled, Suriya 42. And now, Bollywood actress Disha Patani has joined the cast of the film. In her recent interaction with Bollywood Hungama, the Malang star expressed her excitement about starring opposite the Soorarai Pottru actor. While doing so, Disha Patani also dropped hints about the larger-than-life project claiming she’s all set to bring her never-seen-before avatar to the audience.

The diva feels ‘great’ and ‘super kicked’ to have gotten this unique opportunity. She said, “I am super kicked to announce my next with Suriya sir and Siva sir. It feels great to be a part of such a huge project that has got all the larger-than-life elements for the audience to experience on the big screen." During the same interaction, Disha Patani also spoke about her role in the film. She continued, “The character that I am playing is also quite unique and I am also excited to bring my never seen before avatar to the audience." Notably, Suriya 42 will mark Patani’s debut in the Tamil film industry.

The announcement of Suriya 42 was made alongside a special effects-enriched motion poster that suggests that the forthcoming film is a period drama. The motion poster begins with an eagle manoeuvring over an intensified warzone filled with warriors who are ready to slash each other. With the bird-view of the battlefield, the eagle then lands on a cliff, the exact place where Suriya stands tall in his warrior avatar.

Heavily shielded by his armour, Suriya appears to be waiting to make a fierce entry into the battle zone. While sharing the poster online, the actor wrote, “We seek all your good wishes as we begin our adventure!" Although the plot of the upcoming project remains unknown as of yet, the motion poster suggests Suriya 42 is going to be filled with unique elements of combat and war. Bankrolled under the banner of UV Creations in collaboration with Studio Green, the background music of the movie is given by 42. The 3D movie will be simultaneously shot in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and will release in 10 different languages.
