22. Churu is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Churu Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Churu falls in Churu district and North region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,30,084 voters in the seat, which includes 1,18,907 male voters, and 1,11,177 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Churu recorded a voter turnout of 77.12%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.75%, and in 2008 it was 66.2%.
In 2013, Rajendra Rathore of BJP won the seat by a margin of 24,002 votes (15.76%). Rajendra Rathore secured 55.21% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 8,111 votes (6.95%), registering 48.36% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Churu Assembly segment of the Churu Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
