Yeddyurappa was arrested on October 15 after a special Lokayukta court charged him in a land denotification case.

Bangalore: Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa's judicial custody was extended till November 3 on Saturday by the Lokayukta court in a land denotification case.

Yeddyurappa was arrested on October 15 after a special Lokayukta court charged him in alleged irregularities in denotifying government land.

However, Yeddyurappa was shifted to a hospital on October 16 citing chest pains. He returned to jail on Wednesday after getting discharged from the hospital on Tuesday only to get admitted in another hospital the very same evening.

There were reports that he was upset with LK Advani over his comment on corruption in the BJP and that was the main reason he wanted to shift to jail despite his poor health

The former Karnataka chief minister was last week remanded to judicial custody till October 22 after he surrendered before the Lokayukta court after the Lokayukta court rejected his bail plea and issued arrest warrant against him.
