149. Berasia is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Bhopal Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Berasia falls in Bhopal district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,11,094 voters in the seat, which includes 1,11,391 male voters, and 99,696 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Berasia recorded a voter turnout of 76.63%. In 2013 the turnout was 72.05%, and in 2008 it was 68.98%.
In 2013, Vishnu Khatri of BJP won the seat by a margin of 29,304 votes (20.84%). Vishnu Khatri secured 54.5% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 23,076 votes (22.39%), registering 45.46% of the total votes polled.
