New Delhi: The BJP has constituted a panel headed by Party general secretary Arun Jaitley to oversee the poll management and sub-committees indicating their responsibilities in the run upto the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for April 16 to May 13.
Jaitley will the General Secretary, Ram Lal(Organisation) as his second in command, according to the appointments made by BJP President Rajnath Singh.
Arun Jaitley is the head of the four-member policy making panel comprising BJP Vice President Bal Apte, Balbir Punj, Tarun Vijay, Sudhendra Kulkarni, S Gurumurthy,Sapan Dasgupta and Deepak Chopra will be the Special Invitees on the panel.Kulkarni will also head the party's website management.
Jaitley will also head the propaganda panel assisted bySiddharth Nath Singh, Piyush Goyal, Deepak Chopra and Shyam Jaju. The propoganda material will be handed by Vinay Sahasra Buddhe, Ganeshi Lal and Vijay Kranti.
Former Union Minister, the chief of panel of spokesmen Ravishankar Prasad, will be assisted by Balbir Punj,S S Ahluwalia, Prakash Javadekar, Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Siddharth Nath Singh. Transport operations during the polls, including road, rail and air transport, will be handled by Vaman Acharya with Virendra Juwal as his deputy.
Murlidhar Rao and Amitabh Sinha will organize the tour programmes of important poll campaigners in coordination with the state BJP units.
Nalin Kohli has been retained as the head of the Media Coordination panel and will be assisted by Balasubramanyam, Sreekanth Sharma and Sanjay Mayukh.
Retired bureaucrat Ramakrishna and Brig Raj Bahadur have been given charge of handling issues concerning the Election Commission.
