'Reminder Nothing is Impossible': PM Narendra Modi Heaps Praise on Athletes After Historic Asian Para Games

The Indian contingent scripted history as they claimed a best-ever 111 medals finish at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China.

Following the landmark achievement, the honourable Prime Minister of the nation, Shri. Narendra Modi heaped praise on the unit that had brought laurels to the nation.

The Indian premier took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to state, “100 MEDALS at the Asian Para Games! A moment of unparalleled joy. This success is a result of the sheer talent, hard work, and determination of our athletes. This remarkable milestone fills our hearts with immense pride. I extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude to our incredible athletes, coaches and the entire support system working with them. These triumphs inspire us all. They serve as a reminder that nothing is impossible for our youth.”

Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, also shared his joy at the national unit’s unprecedented achievement at the multi-sport event in China.

“Historic…Crossing the 100 medal mark Bharat achieves the highest-ever medal tally in #AsianParaGames. Our para-athletes proved the unstoppable spirit of our nation. I congratulate our para-athletes for this stupendous achievement. Modi government is committed to providing the best facilities to our sports fraternity so that they can bring more honours to the nation,” Shah’s post read.

The contingent representing the tricolour in China finished the event with 29 gold, 31 silver and 51 bronze to end the campaign in fifth position behind hosts China, Iran, Japan and Korea.
