'Not Just for Ourselves, But for Billion People Behind us': Hardik Pandya's Heartfelt Message to Team India Ahead of ICC WC 2023 Final
Ahead of India's blockbuster summit clash against five-time champions Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, Indian all-rounder Pandya sent his heartfelt wishes to the side.

Team India have steamrolled their way into the final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on home soil and are one win away from bringing the most coveted prize in world cricket back since the glorious day back in 2011 when the MS Dhoni-led side clinched the trophy.

Ahead of the blockbuster summit clash against five-time champions Australia, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury he picked up against Bangladesh in the league stage of the ICC showpiece sent his heartfelt wishes to the side.

“Boys, I could not be more proud of this team”, Pandya began.

He acknowledged the work and preparation that has gone into the swashbuckling performances at the tournament stating, “Everything we have done so far,  and how far we have come has been a credit to years of hard work.”

The Rohit Sharma-led unit has managed to win every single one of their ten outings at the World Cup and head into the final unbeaten at the blue ribbon event.

Pandya emphasised how the team is one game away from accomplishing a childhood dream and also touched upon the billion hearts that would rally behind the men in blue as they take on the most successful side in the history of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.

“We are now one step away from glory. From doing something special, which we have dreamt of since we were children. Lifting the cup not just for ourselves, but also for the billion people behind us,” he said.

He concluded by wishing Rohit and Co. to bring the trophy home.

“Always with you with my love, and all my heart. Now let’s bring the cup home. Jai Hind!” Pandya said.

The final of the ICC showpiece will get underway at 2 pm on the 19th of November, Sunday, in Ahmedabad.
