Indian fast-bowler Navdeep Saini has recently kicked off a new chapter of his life, tying the knot with his long-time girlfriend Swati Asthana. The cricketer dropped some glimpses of their gorgeous wedding ceremony on Instagram. Seeking blessings from the elderly and fans, Saini wrote in the caption, “With you, every day is a day of love. Today, we decided on forever.” Though he did not share any details about the event, going by the photographs, it can be assumed that the couple had a destination wedding, which took place on November 23. In the viral Instagram post, Saini and Asthana could be seen sharing some special moments in the backdrop of a picturesque location.

Along with numerous fans, some notable personalities from the Indian cricket fraternity also marked their reactions in the comment section. From Mohammed Siraj to Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh to Rahul Chahar, all congratulated Navdeep Saini on his special day.

Former Indian pacer Munaf Patel also dropped a heartfelt wish for the newly married couple, praying for their happy future. Emerging cricketers like Mohsin Khan and Sai Kishore also reacted to the post with red heart emojis.

Going by her social media accounts, Swati Asthan is a popular influencer who shares engaging vlogs on topics like fashion, travel and lifestyle. Apart from having 80,000 followers on Instagram, Asthana also has a well-recognised YouTube channel where she posts a variety of content.

As far as Saini’s cricketing career is concerned, the Haryana-born pacer last featured in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) where he played for Delhi. His team was knocked out of the tournament after losing to Punjab in the semi-finals. Saini failed to produce anything significant in the crucial game. He returned with figures of 0/32, bowling three overs in the 20-over clash. During the campaign, Saini picked a total of four wickets in seven appearances. The 31-year-old speedster also represented the Rest of India (ROI) in the Irani Cup back in October.

Saini first hit the headlines during the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL). He played 13 games for Royal Challengers Bangalore and wrapped up the tournament with 13 wickets under his belt. After spending three seasons with RCB, Saini was signed by Rajasthan Royals at the 2022 IPL auction. Since then, he has featured in four games across two seasons of the franchise tournament and has managed to pick six wickets.

Sani last donned the whites for India during the historic Australia tour in 2021. He was picked in the last two Tests after several first-team players were ruled out due to injury issues. Saini made an unforgettable debut in the third match by claiming a four-wicket haul. He was also part of the decisive Gabba Test but failed to make any notable contribution.
