Concurrently, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) overseeing body, the JEE Apex Board (JAB), has been ordered by the Ministry of Education (MoE) to restructure its administrative composition and board structure. The Joint Admission Board (JAB) will now collaborate with the body that oversees the JEE (Advanced) test in addition to being in charge of developing guidelines and regulations for the JEE (Main) exam. The entrance test is intended for students who want to enrol in IITs, NITs, and other centrally backed technical institutions UG engineering degrees, among others.
