The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently announced that it has decided to send copies of calculation and Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets to all candidates who took the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in August 2023 for an additional fee.
On or before November 10, applicants who would like to get their calculation sheet and a copy of the CTET 2023 OMR sheet must submit their request along with a Rs 500 fee. Candidates must include their roll number, name, and address in their application and on the backside of their bank draft. “The application addressed to the Director CTET with bank draft should be sent by speed post or by hand at CTET Unit, CBSE, P.S. 1-2, I.P. Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110092,” as per the statement released by the CBSE.
Applicants who had previously submitted an application under the RTI Act, 2005 or otherwise are required to submit a fresh application with the fee by November 10 to get their OMR sheet copy.
Candidates must note that the CTET August 2024 calculation sheet and a duplicate of the OMR sheet will only be sent to the candidate by speed post. Candidates must abide by and accept the board’s competent authority’s decision as final.
No institution or school may apply for the CTET 2023 August session OMR sheet copy for a show or commercial purpose. Only applicants who have qualified the exam may submit an application to access their own OMR sheets and mark calculations. Incomplete applications will be immediately dismissed without further consideration, according to the CBSE notice.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) results for the August 2023 session were announced by the CBSE on September 25. This year, approximately 29 lakh candidates applied for CBSE CTET 2023 and around 80 per cent of the total number of applicants who enrolled for the exam took it. The CTET August 2023 results showed that just 16.8 per cent of candidates had passed the exam. Paper 1 (for classes 1–5) had 24.64 per cent or 2,98,758 applicants pass, while paper 2 (for classes 6–8) saw 8.67 per cent or 1,01,057 candidates pass. The 17th edition of CTET was administered at 3,121 exam centres across 136 cities in India.
