'Beti Ko Ghar Lekar Jaana Hai': Virat Kohli Rushes Through Airport as Daughter Vamika Waits in the Car
India cricketer Virat Kohli has landed in Mumbai ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 semi-finals.

After India got brushed aside the Netherlands in their last league match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli took a morning flight from Bengaluru airport to reach Mumbai ahead of the semi-finals.

As the star Indian cricketer came out of the airport, fans requested him to pose for photographs. Kohli could not wait for long as he seemed to be in a hurry to take his daughter Vamika home who was waiting in the car.

He also urged the photographers to stay away from his car, where Vamika was supposedly waiting.

The couple is quite protective of their daughter and is yet to reveal her face publicly.

In a video on Instagram, Kohli could be heard asking the paparazzo not to take much time in the photo session as he was quite tired and in a rush.

The match against the Netherlands was held on Sunday in Bengaluru with India registering a dominant 160-run win.

As he was scheduled to leave for Mumbai early the next morning, Kohli could not get a night of proper sleep. However, he took some time to pose for the paparazzies and fans in the parking lot of the airport before boarding in a black SUV.

India batted first against the Netherlands and posted a mammoth 410 runs on the board, with every top-order batter making significant contributions to the scoresheet.

India experimented with their bowling as Kohli decided to roll his arms in the second innings.

He got the breakthrough in his second over by dismissing Dutch captain Scott Edwards.

Kohli bowled a delivery way outside the leg stump and Edwards and edged it to be caught behind.

The atmosphere at the M Chinnaswamy stadium turned electric after Kohli picked up the wicket. Anushka Sharma, who was present at the stands, also burst into an emphatic celebration.

Apart from showing off his bowling talent, Kohli continued his swashbuckling form with the bat as well. He notched up his fifth half-century of this ODI World Cup.

Riding on his 51-run knock against the Netherlands, Kohli also claimed the top spot on the list of the highest run-scorers in the tournament. He currently has 594 runs in 9 matches at an exceptional average of 99.
