What SHINee's Taemin Wishes To Change From His Past The Most
During their conversation in Suga's Suchwita, Taemin candidly shares insights from his journey in the industry so far and names the thing he wishes to change from his past.

The popular Korean singer, actor, and boyband SHINee’s member Lee Tae-min, better known as Taemin, has recently returned to the entertainment industry after completing his mandatory military service. The beloved K-pop artist has since been making waves with his solo endeavours. This comes following the release of SHINee’s eighth studio album, HARD, commemorating the band’s 15-year journey in the industry. Taemin’s fourth solo mini album, Guilty, is the latest addition to his impressive discography. It was released on October 30. To promote this release, he made a special appearance on BTS Suga’s YouTube talk show, Suchwita.

During the episode, Taemin and Suga, both born in 1993, connected over their extensive experience in the Korean pop industry. Despite their several previous encounters during group activities, this episode marked the first time they had a chance for a one-on-one conversation, reports Koreaboo.

To the delight of their fans, this Suchwita episode took an unexpected turn when another BTS member, Jimin, surprised Taemin and Suga by joining the conversation midway. Naturally, the discussion turned to their experiences as the youngest members in their respective groups. Taemin, although the same age as Suga, holds the position of ‘maknae’ in SHINee, while Suga is the second oldest in BTS. Maknae is a term that is used in Korean communities to refer to the youngest person in a group.

The conversation led to comparisons with BTS’s youngest member, Jungkook, who, like Taemin, began his career at a very young age. Jungkook debuted at 15, and Taemin himself was only 14 when he made his debut, reports Koreaboo.

During their conversation, Suga couldn’t help but inquire if there were aspects of his past that Taemin wished to change after spending 15 years as a member of SHINee. Taemin candidly admitted, “I would lose my temper a lot." He elaborated that during his earlier days, he was the one who fought with his older members the most, recalling that he was almost like a “fighter" back then.

While Suga jokingly attributed this to their zodiac signs, Taemin acknowledged that he had made mistakes in his younger years that may have caused hurt to others. He expressed his desire to “be able to understand the members" better, given that he now knows their personalities more intimately.

Another aspect of his youth that Taemin wishes he could alter is his intense pursuit of his dreams during his teenage years. If given the chance, he would opt to “experience the things you can only feel when you’re a teenager."

Additionally, Taemin also admitted that he was heavily influenced by his older group members during the episode.
