Water Supply To Be Hit in Parts of Mumbai Till 4AM Tomorrow
Water supply will be remain fully or partially snapped till 4 am tomorrow in six Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) wards

Parts of Mumbai will today face water cuts today caused by BMC’s work to replace a water channel and repair work in pipelines.

Water supply will be remain fully or partially snapped from 4 am today to 4 am tomorrow in six Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) wards.

The six affected wards are:

-M East (Govandi),

-M West (Chembur),

-N (Ghatkopar),

-L (Kurla),

-F South (Parel) and

-F North (Matunga)

Areas where water supply will be fully suspended include: Shivaji Nagar, Lallubhai compound, Chembur Camp, Rajawadi east, Vidyavihar, LBS Marg, Nehru Nagar, Kurla East, Dadar East, Matunga East, Wadala, and Chunabhatti.

Areas where water supply will be partially cut include: KEM, Tata, Bai Jerbai Wadia, and MGM hospitals as well as Sewri, Jerbai Wadia Marg, Hindmata, Lalbagh, and Abhyudaya Nagar.

The water cut is said to be due to BMC replacing a 900 mm diameter water channel and repair work that will be conducted over leakages in water pipelines having diameters between 300 and 1800 mm, reports said.

The BMC has appealed to citizens to use water sparingly.
