Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3 Release Date Pushed To Summer 2024
The movie has been pushed from its initial release date i.e. May 3, 2024, to July 26 next year.

The recently concluded long SAG-AFTRA strike prompted major Hollywood studios, including Marvel, to announce new release dates for upcoming projects. Amidst the buzz, Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is highly anticipated. Adding to the excitement, amid a delayed announcement for Venom 3, Ryan Reynolds dropped hints about Deadpool 3’s release and introduced a new character.

To make the announcement sweet, Ryan Reynolds shared the charming first look at Dogpool, a canine iteration of Deadpool that is bound to capture the hearts of Marvel enthusiasts. Amplifying the excitement, Reynolds disclosed that the movie is set to hit theatres in the summer of 2024. “Did Dogpool save the day? Not a chance in gremlin hell. But she is currently causing the Disney plushy merch department nightmares. Coming with the movie, Summer 2024,” he wrote.

Deadpool 3 is set to break new ground as the MCU’s first R-rated film. The upcoming movie will not only feature Ryan Reynolds with Jackman’s Wolverine from a different universe but will also feature a mix of familiar and fresh faces, including Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapicic as the voice of Colossus and Rob Delaney as Peter. Additionally, Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen’s roles are currently under wraps.

Originally, the film was scheduled to release on May 3, 2024, but the movie faced an unexpected hurdle due to the actors’ strike and just like every other Hollywood project, the filming of Shawn Levy’s film was abruptly halted. The movie was already halfway through production but they were forced to stop after July 2023. Despite the setback, anticipation for the MCU film remains high and the makers are planning to shoot remaining portions in the coming weeks.

Earlier, Director Shawn Levy had teased a connection between Deadpool 3 and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. In an essay for Esquire, Levy hinted at a tribute to a specific scene from Episode 6 in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film. The scene will include a memorable moment once performed by Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker and David Prowse’s character Darth Vader.

In Deadpool 3, fans can rejoice as Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reunite, marking their collaboration once again since their joint venture in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
