Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan is getting ready for the Diwali celebrations in Mumbai, beginning with the extravagant parties hosted by Manish Malhotra every year. On Saturday, Farah posted on her Instagram account, giving a sneak peek into her preparations. She revealed that Karan Johar came to her rescue by sending her an entire wardrobe full of outfit choices, after she realised she had nothing suitable to wear due to her recent weight loss.
In the video, Farah showed a group of stylists, with Eka Lakhani, Karan Johar’s stylist, taking the lead in preparing the outfits. An open suitcase was placed on a bed as Eka diligently arranged the clothing. Farah, positioned behind the camera, said, “So I told Karan Johar I’ve nothing to wear for Diwali and this is what he’s done.”
“He’s sent a stylist, Eka Lakhani to my house and just look at this,” she added, and showed viewers a whole clothing line full of outfits. Farah said, “I could have shot a whole movie with this crew.” She goes on to ask Eka about the outfits and she said, “They are really beautiful clothes.”
When Farah mentioned that she only needed one outfit for Manish’s party, the stylist commented,
“But you have lost so much weight, you are looking stunning, I think you can try many more…” Farah interrupted and wrapped up the video, saying, “And that’s precisely why I’m recording this video. Thank you. There’s no need to say anything else.”
Sharing the video, Farah wrote in the caption, “Dost ho toh aisa (A friend like him)! @karanjohar spoiling me thoroughly.. @ekalakhani thank you for all the trouble you taking.. p.s.- how will you make fun of my clothes now Karan?”
