Bollywood war epic Pippa finally got released earlier this month. The film, adapted from Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta’s book The Burning Chaffees, featured a screenplay by Ravinder Randhawa, Tanmay Mohan, and Menon. Ishaan portrays Captain Mehta of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron, who played a significant role on India’s eastern front during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, leading to the creation of Bangladesh. Recently, Hrithik Roshan reacted to one of the songs of Pippa where Ishaan Khatter showerd his dancing skills.
Sharing the clip on his Instagram stories, Hrithik Roshan wrote, “Kya Baat Hai Ishaan(with clapping hands emoji). For the unversed, the clip was none other than a segment straight out of ‘Main Parwaana’ song that featured Ishaan shaking his legs to a vintage sounding tune crooned by Arijit Singh and composed by AR Rahman. The actor moves seamlessly throughout the song and had impressed everyone who saw the Pippa upon it’s release.
Take a look:
The movie’s title, “Pippa,” refers to the PT-76 amphibious tank, commonly known as Pippa, which holds a prominent place in the film. The film was a thrilling narrative of a landmark moment in history – the Battle of Garibpur, during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971; that was pivotal in Bangladesh’s struggle for independence. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films, and directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film featured Ishaan who essayed the character of real-life war hero Captain Balram Singh Mehta along with Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles. Based on the book ‘The Burning Chaffees’ by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, the film was written by Menon, Tanmay Mohan, and Ravinder Randhawa. The music by maestro A.R. Rahman provides an atmospheric backdrop to this story of patriotism and sacrifice.
On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for his next film titled Fighter. The first look for the film was shared on Independence Day this year. The motion poster showed three combat planes flying through the sky as the three main actors, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, approach one by one, dressed in their Air Force uniforms. The film is set to hit the big screen on the eve of India’s 75th Republic Day.
