From the fight sequences to the captivating music and the stellar cast, Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film Jawan has undoubtedly struck gold at the box office. Aaliyah Qureishi, who portrays one of the six girls in Shah Rukh Khan’s core team in Jawan, fondly recalled her remarkable journey working with the iconic King Khan.
Talking about her experience working with Shah Rukh Khan, Aaliyah Qureishi told DNA that it was a cherry on top. “He does a lot of his own stunts and he kills them. To have that dedication and discipline is amazing. That is one thing that I have taken from him, learnt from him. One day he was sick on sets and yet he still did some hardcore stunts. Between scenes, he was sick. But it does not bother him. He does not let anything from outside affect his work. It’s amazing, this God-like discipline,” she said.
She referred to herself as “lucky” for the opportunity to share the screen with Shah Rukh Khan. Aaliyah highlighted SRK’s warm and approachable nature, mentioning that he was always open to conversation and would engage in casual and spontaneous discussions. She admired how he would readily respond even to her random questions.
Aaliyah Qureishi, who portrays the character Jahnvi in the film, was overjoyed when she landed a role in Jawan. She shared her exhilarating experience, saying, “When I saw myself for the first time in the theatre, I freaked out, I panicked. I screamed so loudly that everyone around me probably thought she must be really excited for the movie. It feels surreal. It has still not sunk in that it has happened.”
The newcomer also disclosed that whenever she experienced nervousness, she had her group of fellow actresses, including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, and Girija Oak, as a reliable support system to lean on. During the interview, she even elaborated on their rigorous stunt training for the action scenes. Aaliyah disclosed that they underwent extensive preparation, which included learning hand-to-hand combat, boxing, and rifle training, with the help of international teams.
Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s directorial Jawan has finally entered the Rs 1000-crore club worldwide. Within India, the film has achieved remarkable success with collections surpassing the Rs 500 crore mark. Alongside Shah Rukh Khan, the movie boasts an ensemble cast featuring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Additionally, Deepika Padukone makes a memorable cameo appearance in the film.
