Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal featuring Ranbir Kapoor, has been one of the most highly anticipated films of 2023 since its inception. Now, in a recent interview, Bhushan Kumar, the producer of the film, expressed confidence in the movie’s potential to be a massive box office hit, thanks to its exceptional cast and cinematic excellence.
In a chat with Pinkvilla, when Bhushan Kumar was asked if a teaser for Animal would be released on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday, as is customary for many South Indian films, Bhushan Kumar indirectly hinted that fans could absolutely expect it. Ranbir Kapoor will turn 41 this year, and Animal will be his second release this year after Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
Further during the conversation, talking about the release of the film, Bhushan Kumar said, “We are very very excited and more than me, the audience is excited for it. This film has everything. It is a full-on entertainer. It is a proper pan-India, pan-world film where there is drama, there’s action, there’s story, there’s mind-blowing, never seen before performance by Ranbir Kapoor; Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and everybody else have done brilliant performances in this so obviously you are excited about this. And today if you are excited and the public is equally excited, numbers are very sure.”
He also commented on the recent success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and highlighted the power of audience anticipation in driving movie success. He added, “When we released the pre-teaser, everyone decided that they want to watch the film.” Animal also stars popular names such as Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna.
Bhushan Kumar’s production company is gearing up for an exciting lineup of projects. During the interview, he shared that a musical production and a biography of the legendary Saroj Khan, helmed by Hansal Mehta is in the works.
