It is no secret that KGF star Yash will soon be playing Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. While everyone is eagerly waiting for the film, it was reported that Yash is likely to play lord Hanuman in Jai Hanuman. It is a sequel of Teja Sajja starrer HanuMan, which hit theatres in January 2024. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Yash is makers’ first choice to play the role of lord Hanuman. An insider told the entertainment portal that while Yash was never considered for the first part of the movie, but he is likely to get finalised for the sequel. However, a source from Yash’s team has now confirmed that the reports are baseless and false.
Speaking about the rumours of Yash playing the role of Hanuman, a source from his team said, “There is no truth to the reports, he is not considering any such role. Rocking Star Yash puts a lot of time and consideration into each film he chooses to do, and right now he is completely consumed with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups.”
Yash is not considering playing Hanuman in the upcoming sequel ‘Jai Hanuman’, focusing on his current project ‘Toxic’. The film will be released on 10th April, 2025.
Meanwhile, Yash will also be playing Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. While Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Ram in the film, Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. Earlier, Alia Bhatt was in talks for the role of Sita but she backed out due to dates-related issues. Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively. Recently, it was also reported that Amitabh Bachchan might play Dashrath in the movie.
