Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have reportedly broken up after several years of dating. However, this is not the first time that the talk of their breakup has caught everyone’s attention. Arjun and Malaika were subject to breakup rumours last year after it was claimed that they had split and the actor was dating social media influencer turned actress Kusha Kapila. However, at the time, Kusha denied all rumours while Arjun and Malaika confirmed they were still together.
The Masaba Masaba 2 actress shared a message on her Instagram broadcast channel and rubbished all such rumours. She shared that such claims have taken a toll on her mother’s mental health too. “Roz apne baare mein itni bakwas padh kar mujhe apna khud see ek formal introduction karwana padega,” Kusha wrote and then added, “Every time I read sh*it about myself I just hope and pray ki meri mummy na padh le yeh aab. Unki social life has taken a big hit.”
The rumours of Kusha Kapila and Arjun Kapoor’s relationship made headlines after the two attended a party at Karan Johar’s residence. It also came months after Kusha announced her separation from her husband Zorawar Ahluwalia. While Kusha dismissed the rumours, Arjun did not react to these claims.
Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor went public with their relationship in 2019, at the screening of India’s Most Wanted. They also went public with their relationship on social media. They often shared posts featuring each other and now the news of their breakup has upset their fans.
“Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts. They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship,” a source told Pinkvilla.
“They had a long, loving, fruitful relationship that has unfortunately run its course now. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other. Over the years, they have given their relationship a lot of respect. They will continue to give each other the same respect despite them deciding to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time,” the insider added.
Malaika and Arjun are yet to react to these claims.
