Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi hosted IIFA Rocks 2024 alongside Stree 2’s Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday night at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The star-studded affair featured several memorable moments, one of which has gone viral. In a video from last night, the co-hosts were seen grooving with the audience, delighting their fans. In the video, Siddhant and Abhishek were shaking legs on Dil Dhadakne Do’s song Gallan Goodiyaan. The duo even met with their fans and clicked pictures while dancing to the song. For the event, Siddhant wore a white tuxedo paired with a white shirt and black pants. On the other hand, Abhishek wore a black formal suit.
Meanwhile, another moment from IIFA Rocks 2024 has been garnering the attention of the people on the internet, where Siddhant recreates Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic open arms pose. In a picture shared by the official page of IIFA on their Instagram Stories, the Gehraiyaan actor can be seen standing on the stage with his arms open against SRK’s most memorable still from his iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards kicked off its celebrations on September 27 with IIFA Utsavam, followed by IIFA Awards, and the last event of the three-day soiree was IIFA Rocks. In a video shared on the official page of IIFA, Siddhant talked about being an “IIFA virgin” and shared his excitement about his first hosting duties.
He said, “This is someone’s third or fourth time. I am a virgin, an IIFA virgin. This is my first time, and I realised that it was such an honour to be on the same stage with Shahid, with Vicky, with Abhishek, with Kriti, with Ananya, and all of you guys. I’ve been a huge fan. It’s such an honour that, thanks to IIFA, this is happening. This is actually happening. We are all coming together on one stage as an Indian cinema. Representing! I’m very, very excited.”
In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, the Gully Boy actor opened up about his nervousness on sharing the stage with Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. “Uska excitement se zada nervousness hai. Because Shah Rukh sir aur Karan sir to kamaal ke dono host hai. Bahut natural hai on stage. So, I hope ki mai vo bar at least wahan tak thoda nibhaa paun (I am more nervous than excited because Shah Rukh sir and Karan sir are both amazing hosts. They are very natural on stage. So, I hope I can at least live up to that standard a little),” he said. Despite being nervous, he mentioned that he was going to have fun.
