Unni Mukundan-starrer Jai Ganesh is set to release in theatres worldwide on April 11. It is written and directed by Ranjith Sarkar. He has jointly produced this movie with Unni Mukundan. Actress Mahima Nambiar is playing the role of lead actress in the movie. The film has been creating a buzz in the environmental industry since the release of its first look poster.
Unni Mukundan portrays the role of a handicapped graphic designer who works on a comic book for superheroes. The makers have recently released the trailer of the film which has immediately gone viral. Now, as per recent reports, the film has completed its censor formalities and is ready to hit the big screens on the proposed release date.
Jai Ganesh has reportedly bagged a clean ‘U’ certificate from the censor board which makes the movie eligible for family audiences. This mystery thriller movie has a runtime of only 2 hours and 5 minutes, which is considered shorter for standard Malayalam films. The movie has been advertised as a superhero movie by the makers till now.
As per the trailer, the movie depicts his struggles to overcome the limitations that he faces being wheelchair-bound. The short clip also shows him assisting in an interesting case of robbery. Touted to be a family entertainer, the makers are calling the movie a Vishu festival special. While the superhero plot of the movie has not been revealed much in the trailer, the fans of Unni Mukundan are expecting it to be another blockbuster for the actor after Malikappuram in 2022.
The cinematography of the movie is done by Chandru Selvaraj while the editing is done by Sangeeth Prathap. The music of the movie has been composed by Sankar Sharma. The makers recently released the song titled Aarambhamaay which is sung by Kapil Kapilan. The lyrics of the song are penned by Manu Manjith. The movie will also mark the comeback of the actress Jomol. She was last seen in the movie Careful which was released in 2017.
