The Most Expensive Thing Shah Rukh Khan Has Ever Bought is Now Worth Rs 200 Crore, Here’s What It is

One of the most successful Bollywood superstars of all time, Shah Rukh Khan does live life king size. Though he owns several expensive things, the 53-year-old actor says his costliest purchase so far is his sea-facing Bandra home Mannat.

Talking about his bungalow in Mumbai, which is currently wroth Rs 200 crore (approximately), Shah Rukh told recently Radio Mirchi, “I am from Delhi and Delhiites have the concept of living in a kothi (bungalow). In Mumbai, the concept is to live in apartments, but in Delhi, even if one is not well off, they still own a small bungalow.”

“When I came to Mumbai, I was already married and was living in a small apartment with my wife Gauri. My mother in-law would keep saying, ‘You live in such a small house.’ Eventually, when I saw Mannat, it felt like that Delhi wala kothi and so I bought it and that was the most expensive thing I bought,” he added.

Notably, Shah Rukh was named India’s 13th highest-earning celebrity by Forbes this year, courtesy his Rs 56 crore earnings between October 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018.

On the professional front, he was last seen alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in Aanand L Rai’s Zero, which opened in theatres on December 21 to mixed reactions. He will next star in Rakesh Sharma’s biopic.
